A Chinese woman, who has been living as Nepali Monk has been arrested by Delhi Police after she was found allegedly indulging in Anti-National activity. She has been detained from ‘Majnu ka tila’ in Tibetan Colony near Delhi university’s north campus.
Disguising herself as Tibetan Dolma lama, the Chinese woman had in her possession a fake identity card and identified herself as a resident of Kathmandu, Nepal.
But when the Foreigner’s Regional Registration Office (FRRO) investigated, it was discovered that she was a Chinese citizen named Cai Ruo who had arrived in India in 2019.
On further probe, Cai Ruo was found indulging in some Anti-National activity. She was arrested and charged on October 17 under Section 120 B (Criminal Conspiracy), 419 (Cheating by impersonation), 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 467(Forgery of Valuable Security) and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and Foreigners Act.
This is not the first case when a foreign national has been arrested for their role in Anti-national activity. A case of a Bangladeshi national, Talha Tuluqdar Bin Farrukh who was apprehended by the UP Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) on April 29, this year at the Darul Uloom hostel in Deoband, Saharanpur is still fresh in public memory.
He was arrested because he was in constant touch with a Jehadi Group member. Later, he confessed that he had migrated to Saharanpur by crossing the Indo Bangladesh Border illegally with the help of some agents.
